Juniperus drupacea (Syrian Juniper)
Native: Mountains of Syria, Greece, Asia Minor
Foliage is easily distinguished since needles are 1.2-2.5cm long and sharp with 2 bands of white on upper surface. No adult, scale-type leaves are produced.
Male flowers are in small clusters, yellow when fully open in March.
