Leaves are glossy green and covered with minute dark spots.


Nothofagus dombeyi

Flowers open in late May, males have red anthers and are about 0.4cm long. Females are tiny, similar to those of Antarctic Beech.

Fruit is about 0.6cm long, splitting to release seed in October.
