Populus x canadensis 'Regenerata'

This is a female clone which arose in France in 1814. It became widely planted in France and Britain particularly near railways as a screen. Now little planted as it is susceptible to a bacterial disease.

Flowers open in March and April.

Fruits

Fruit is ripe in June but is sterile.
