Location: Useful for small gardens and hedges because of its upright shape.

Foliage

Leaves have short teeth, are bronzy at first, soon green, and turn dark red and yellow in the autumn.

Flowers

Prunus 'Mikurama-gaeshi'

Flowers have a light apple fragrance and open in mid-April. Each is about 5cm across, usually single with five petals and they cover the otherwise gaunt looking branches.
