Austrocedrus chilensis (Chilean Incense Cedar)
Also known as: Synonym Libocedrus chilensis (D. Don) Endl.
Native: Chile, Argentina
Location: Grown in botanical collections.
Foliage is very distinct, flattened pairs of leaves or scales with bright white bands beneath.
Pollen and Seed Cones
Male and female cones are produced on the same tree, males 3mm shedding pollen in March.
Mature cones are green ripening to brown, 10mm long, consisting of 4 scales.
