Common Laburnum (Laburnum anagyroides)
Also known as: Golden Chain
Native: Central and southern Europe
Location: Widely cultivated for ornament throughout Europe and naturalised in some places.
Leaves are rather downy on undersides.
Flowers open in May, each about 2.5cm.
Seed pods are 5-7.5cm and similar to those of Scotch Laburnum (Laburnum alpinum) but with a thickened edge.
