Leaves have 5-11 leaflets, which are hairless except around the edge and at the base of the main vein.

Flowers

Phellodendron amurense

Flowers open in July, male and female on separate trees, similar to Phellodendron japonicum flowers, about 0.6cm long, in erect clusters about 7.5cm tall.

Fruits

Fruits are about 1.2cm across.
