Location: Grown in botanical collections and some large gardens.
Leaves look similar to Katsura Tree (Cercidiphyllum japonicum) but are arranged alternately. They are distinctive since they arise singly from spurs of branches twigs.
Flowers are in catkins 9-15cm long which appear in the spring and gradually expand and open through the summer.
